COOPER 10 MONTHS OLD

I CANT BELIEVE IT!!!! COOPER IS 10 MONTHS OLD NOW. IT GOES SO FAST. HE IS A LOT OF FUN. HE EATS MORE THAN HIS 5 YEAR OLD BROTHER, HE CRAWLED AT 5 MONTHS AND HE HAS AN ATTITUDE ALREADY. HE IS SWEET, FUNNY, HAPPY AND FULL OF ENERGY. I ENJOY BEING A MOTHER OF BOYS. I CANT COMPARE IT TO GIRLS BUT I CAN SAY THAT BOYS ARE VERY SPECIAL. I JUST HOPE I RAISE THEM RIGHT AND THEY GROW UP TO BE GOOD MEN. COOPER IS PLAYING WITH ALL JACKS ACTION FIGURE TOYS ALREADY. ITS SO FUNNY THAT HE GOES FOR THOES TOYS INSTEAD OF HIS TALKING DRUM . I GUESS WHEN YOUR DADDY AND BROTHER ARE HAVING FUN WITH ACTION FIGURES YOU JUST START TO LEARN TO ALSO ENJOY THEM. JACK JUST ASKED ME YESTERDAY WHY I DONT HAVE ANY "TOYS". HE SAID " DADDY HAS TOYS, I HAVE TOYS, AND COOPER HAS TOYS, WHY DONT YOU". I SAID....."BECAUSE IM A GROWN UP". HE LOOKED PUZZLED. :) ANYWAY.....COOPER IS 10 MONTHS AND WE LOVE HIM TO PIECES. TIME GOES TO FAST.

FUN IN THE SNOW

We had our first snow a couple weeks ago. It was so fun. Jack played in the snow with his cousin Tobias. Cooper just starred at it in amazement. We had 6 inches and we were going to go sledding but the stores were all sold out of sleds. So this week I went to buy jack a sled from Santa clause. Cant wait until the next snow. We had new carpet put in our house on the day it snowed. I wasn't sure they would still do it but sure enough they showed up in the worst weather of the year and put in our carpet. It looks great!!!!. There was a huge pile of carpet out on our curb and it became covered with snow and Jack and Alex (his other cousin) played on it and made a fort. I love the snow. It brings out the kid in me.

CHRISTMAS IS COMING...OH HOW THE HOLIDAYS CAN MAKE YOU CRAZY AND TIRED. WE HAVE BEEN VERY BUSY AND TRYING TO GET EVERYTHING DONE. I WENT SHOPPING THE DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE. IT WAS FUN!! I WENT WITH MY FRIEND REBECCA AND WE GOT UP AND SHOPPING AROUND 4:30 AM. WE GOT SOME GOOD DEALS AND A HEAD START. ITS COOPERS FIRST CHRISTMAS AND JACK'S FIRST CHRISTMAS WITHOUT BEING AN ONLY CHILD. IT SHALL BE EVENTFUL IM SURE. I WILL WRITE AGAIN SOON. AFTER THE HOLIDAYS ARE OVER. GOD BLESS EVERYONE AND MERRY CHRISTMAS

THANKSGIVING, FOOTBALL, AND FUN

Now lets see......thanksgiving this year was at my mom's. It was very yummy and it was fun hanging out all day at mom's, watching football and then eating leftovers that night. However....I think my mom was ready for us to take a hike before we started the leftovers. HEHE you have to know my mom to appreciate that. She is a great lady but really really likes her company to leave within a few hours of arrival. And you need to not be a "slow leaver"... By god if youre going to leave than pick your butt up quickly and get out, you cant say youre going to leave and take an hour doing so.It causes some anxiety. HEHE. .....Again...You have to know my mom. :)

HALLOWEEN 2006

Well...so much has been happening. I have not blogged in awhile. shame on me. I have been tired and busy with the boys. Iwill start with Halloween. jack was a pirate and cooper was dragon. It was fun. I have a new tradition now. I make a big pot of soup and anyone who wants comes over to eat. The daddy's take the kids out and the mommy's stay home and pass out candy and chat. It was so much fun this year. Cooper stayed back with us. He can go next year.

Reunion with Courtney

Courtney was in town this weekend from Virginia. I have been friends with Courtney for 20 years!!! oh my God thats a long time. We were the best of friends in highschool. I love her and miss her so much. We went to Ku after highschool and met Neila and Stacey. So this weekend I had a BBQ and we all got together and all our kids played. There were 7 kids and it was so fun!!!! The food was great and the company was even better. After everyone went home it was just courtney and I and our two oldest boys took a bath together and dumped the entire bottle of soap in the tub and the bubbles were overflowing onto the floor. They had so much fun. Anyway.....I had a great day!

ITS MY BIRTHDAY AND I'LL CRY IF I WANT TO

TODAY IM 35 YEARS OLD. IT FEELS SO OLD. IS STILL FEEL LIKE IM 25. I HAVE DONE MORE FROM 30-35 THAN I HAVE DONE IN MY LIFE TIME. I GOT MARRIED, GRADUATED FROM COLLEGE, AND HAD 2 KIDS. WOW.....IT KIND OF FEELS LIKE 35 IS A NEW CHAPTER. I JUST HOPE 35-40 IS JUST AS GOOD. TONIGHT IM GOING TO MY SISTERS HOUSE FOR AN ADULT SLUMBER PARTY (GIRLS ONLY) IM EXCITED. I PLAN ON KICKING BACK AND HAVING A GIRLIE DRINK AND HANGING OUT. IT WILL BE FUN! WELL.......CHEERS!!!!!!

WHY? WHY? WHY?

JACK. JACK. JACK......MY SWEET LITTLE JACK. YOU PUT THIS CHILD IN THE BACK SEAT AND STRAP A SEAT BELT ON HIM AND HE STARTS TALKIN'. HE ASKS THE CRAZIEST QUESTIONS. AND WHEN I DON'T KNOW THE ANSWER HE TELLS ME "MOMS DON'T KNOW ANYTHING EXCEPT HOW TO LOVE THEIR BOYS" AND THEN HE GOES ON AND TELLS ME THAT DADS KNOW EVERYTHING. I CORRECTED THAT THEORY QUICKLY AND EXPLAINED THAT DADS DON'T KNOW EVERYTHING.....THEY JUST LIE WELL. (NO, I DIDN'T BREAK HIS HEART AND TELL HIM THAT)
ANYWAY....ON THE WAY TO SCHOOL HE ASKED ME ABOUT HEAVEN AND DYING. (I HATE THIS SUBJECT) HE WANTED TO KNOW IF WE COULD WAKE UP WHEN WE GOT TO HEAVEN AND HE WANTED TO KNOW IF WE COULD COME BACK DOWN TO EARTH WHENEVER WE WANTED. WHEN I TOLD HIM THAT WE CANT COME BACK TO EARTH HE DECIDED THAT HE WAS ANGRY WITH GOD. THIS KID IS DEEP!!! BUT BY THE TIME WE WERE AT SCHOOL HE WAS ON TO ANOTHER SUBJECT. HE WAS NOW WANTING TO KNOW WHY BIRDS DON'T HAVE HANDS.

I THINK HE MIGHT GROW UP TO BE A DOCTOR BECAUSE HE SEARCHES FOR ANSWERS SO MUCH. MAYBE HE WILL FIND A CURE FOR SOME DISEASE BECAUSE HE WONT STOP UNTIL HE HAS THE ANSWER. WHO KNOWS. HE'S JUST A GREAT KID .

CARNIVAL IN OLATHE

  • THIS PAST WEEKEND WAS OLD SETTLERS DAY WE HAD A GOOD TIME. JACK WAS SO BRAVE. HE WANTED TO RIDE ALL THE RIDES....EVEN THE ONES HE WAS NOT TALL ENOUGH TO RIDE. I GOT SCARED ON THE FERRIS WHEEL.. JACK HELPED ME OUT. I HATE RIDES!!!!! JACK RODE THE "SWINGS" AND I HAD FLASH BACKS OF BEING IN GRADE SCHOOL AND SCREAMING FOR MY MOM TO STOP THE RIDE.

FIRST DAY OF PRESCHOOL

Today was Jack's first day of his new preschool. We decided to keep him back this year and not put him into kindergarten because he would be at a great advantage to be a step ahead when he does start kinderegarten. He is the funniest child I know. When we went to the school he said he did not want to go. The first thing he said to the teacher was that she looked like a grandma. (she is most likely 60) He was given a choice of what to do until the other kids arrived and of course he went straight to the costume area and put on a cape and started running around the room like a super hero. At first I was imberresed but I talked to my mom later in the day and she told me that every child is unique in their own way and if Im proud of what he is then he will be proud of himself also. That really hit home with me and Im going to try and be more proud of who he is and not try to make him who I think he should be. Even if he jumps around like superman or can recite an entire episode of spongebob , or wears a belt in his underwear and pretends its a tail. Its ok....its who he is. And I love him. Thanks mom for the words of wisdom.
